    CHECK UPS AND HELPING OUT

Lulu has been with us a week now and she’s really settled into life in the Foster Room.  By Wednesday she had come right out of her shell.  She was enjoying her food, sitting on the windowsill watching the world go by and rushing for fuss every time I went in to see her.  I had to resist the urge to post a blog celebrating her first use of the litter tray, but that was a great moment. Meanwhile, McLaren had his latest check-up at the vets.  Everything was fine, and he won all the receptionists, vets and nurses over with his handsome charm and insistence on being fussed by…

    FEATURED FELINE: FREYA NORMAN

It’s time for our first featured moggy of 2019 whose human has kindly provided a bio and some photos. This time, we’re saying “Hello!” to: FREYA NORMAN Freya is a 3-year-old black domestic short-haired female, living in Hull with my friend and university flatmate, Becky.  She spends her time both indoors and outdoors and enjoys sleeping on Becky’s dressing gown, which is always left for Freya to nap on instead of being hung up. Freya, who was originally named Amber, was adopted from a local shelter.  Her ‘new’ name comes from Norse mythology of the Goddess of love, sex, beauty, fertility, gold, sorcery, war, and death – covering all feline…

    MID WEEK MCLAREN #13

Hey!  It’s McLaren again, guys.  Mummy told me this week that some cats go outside a lot.  She even said some poor kitties live outside and fend for themselves their whole lives.  How crazy is that?! I personally don’t like the outside.  It’s scary.   I went outside once and it was horrible.  Mummy put my leash on, which is OK because it’s like a hug, but then she opened the door and I went outside with hp0o—-[[[[ – Hey Laser, get offs the keyboard.  I went outside with her. But then it all went to disaster.  First I sniffled around and it was OK buts I was cautious.  I gots…

    MID WEEK MCLAREN

Hi everyone, I’ve been having so much fun this week because Nanna and Auntie Elaine came to stay and Auntie played a lot with me, even when she was sleepy and I patted toys to her.  My favorite part was when Nanna carried me out of the bedroom in a box and I raced her back into the bedroom before she shut the door.  I’m so fast.  Nanna laughed but Mummy was grumpy because they had to wake her up to get me out of the bedroom. We had cuddle times too. Ever since Auntie left I have been making sure Mummy plays with me like Auntie did, because it…

    MID WEEK MCLAREN #14

McLaren here again.  I’ve been busy tracklisting this week. Mummy informed me that I should be able to jump about five or six times my length.  I measured against Laser and that means she can jump further than me, which definitely isn’t fair, so I decided to learn to jump furtherer than she can. I’ve even been prackelsting dives in my sleep.  I think I would be good at diving ifs I didn’t mind the water. Also, I have a fear of falling.  The laser can jump from the bed in Mummy’s room to the Windysill.  I’m too scared of doing that and missing, so’s I always climb off the…

    SECRET PAWS 2018 UNWRAPPED

It’s been a few days since I blogged, and that is mostly because I’ve been both insanely busy and absolutely shattered.  Luckily, Laser has allowed me to steal her usual blogging day so that we can all thank our wonderful Secret Paws gifter for an absolutely amazing Christmas gift box. Laser, McLaren and I were lucky enough to be the recipient of a gift from Iain, Marc and the cats of Katzenworld.  They sent us a wonderful box of goodies from 4cats. I think the best thing to do is to hand over to Laser and McLaren and let them tell you what they think of the gifts.  I was overwhelmed by the generosity…

Lasey Sunday #12 – Carry Loves Cats

We had treats again this week, so I’m feeling much happier about writing my blog today.  I did get a little bit excited about treats coming back though – Carry says I punctured an artery in her finger when I thought she was a Webbox treat. Woopsie.  She leaked red for a little while and then her finger went blue.  I think it’s OK now though.  She has been busy and not wincing today. This week, I helped Mummy read a new book, and gave her pointers for the review she posted.  McLaren and I enjoyed hearing about Alvin and Barry’s antics.  Carry keeps asking me if I’d like to go to a…

    FIRST FOSTER SUCCESS!

We have some fantastic news to start off with today:  Lulu has packed her things, had paperwork signed and left to go to her new forever home. It was kind of bittersweet as my first foster cat to head off to their new happy life, and I didn’t really get a proper goodbye with her, but I’m happy that she’s going to a lovely family and she will have an older brofur and a garden to run around in.  She did give me one last ‘meow’ as they walk down the driveway – I’m taking that as a ‘thank you’. McLaren made a new friend in Lulu the last week,…
