Mid Week McLaren #6

Hi all, McLaren here.  Don’t worry, I’m OK.  Mummy has been keeping a close eye on me and poking and prodding me to check that my leg is OK.  It’s all fine.  I’m just down in the dumps a bit because she is poorly and her voice sounds funny and the lamp that switches off when it is supper time hasn’t been on, so I didn’t know if I was ever going to get supper again.

But anyway, my blog this week is about an act of kindness that happened recently, following a funny tweet Mummy posted.  The kind-hearted person (or people) were the lovely folk behind @AmazonHelp on twitter.

Mummy kindly print screened the conversation that happened so I didn’t have to explain it all to you.  It all started when the delivery man sent her a photo of the parcels he had left on the back porch by the patio door I like to watch birdies from.

Laser and I were so excited that we’d get a surprise.  Mummy filled in a form and a few hours later received an email saying that TWO gifts were on the way!  One was due in a couple of days and the other would take about a week or so because it wasn’t in stock at the time.

So we waited patiently.  And a few days later we received another parcel.  Laser and I could smell that it was for us but because it was in a box, even though it came through the funny cat flap on the front door, we couldn’t open it until Mummy came home.

And could you guess what it was?  It was some super fancy catnip toys for us to play with.  Here are some photos of us opening the gifts.  Can you guess which toy is our favourite?

Here’s a nice photo that Mummy took of the full package and the little note that came with it.  We were really happy and want to thank Amazon a lot.  It was super kind and we have had a lot of fun playing with the toys since.

A few weeks later another parcel arrived.  Mummy wasn’t 100% sure it was the gift from Amazon as it didn’t have a note, but she knows she didn’t order it and nobody else has claimed to have sent it for her, so she has concluded that the nice Amazon folk read her bio and sent her a gift as well as us.  They sent her a funny box, with a funny round thing inside.  I don’t really understand but Mummy seemed to like it and she said said that we will watch it together so I know where my name comes from.  I’ve watched the box a lot, but I think there must be more to it as I still don’t understand.  Mummy says it’s called a Deeveedee.  Which is a funny word.  Hopefully I will find out what it does soon, but here is a photo so you might be able to understand what it is.

Anyway, I have to go an take a nap now.  Playing with all my new toys, and watching the box is tiring work.  I just want to say thank you to Amazon again, from myself, Laser and Mummy.  We love our gifts and it was very kind.  Next time I see the delivery man in the garden I will meow and bring him a toy so he can play too. Maybe we can be friends and we can have a photo together next time!

Lots of love, have a good week.

Well, that was so nice of the Amazon folks! McLaren, we have a large medical company around us, which is called McLaren! So, I see your name everywhere on signs and on buildings. Also, living in MetroDetroit, where cars are everything, I know who McLaren is, and have seen several McLaren vehicles too. Sleek and fast…is that you, kitty?!?

oh wowee. Maybe I should move over there and become a medicat. There is a ‘MacLaren’ funeral directors nearby where we live but we don’t see many McLaren cars here.

I am super speedy though and Laser cleans me a lot so I guess I’m fairly sleek too!
