New Friends, Old Tricks

I am so glad it’s Friday.  This week seems to have taken forever to go through.  Thanks to a combination of late night good news and Laser waking me up for a 3am fuss I barely slept and I’m not quite awake yet.

Laser made a new friend last night.  Cosy Bear is actually one of those microwavable stuffed toys that keep you warm.  It had an odd smell when it’s been microwaved and the cats seem to like it.  Laser made herself comfortable next to Cosy Bear last night.  She even gave him a  little kiss.  I think they’re dating now.

Meanwhile, McLaren was busily trying to stop me from cross stitching.  I suspect he’s jealous of the hoop and stand.  He probably considers it to be hogging my lap. Last night, he’d apparently had enough, climbed on top and started having a nap.  Marginally annoying, because two threads I’d been waiting to arrive turned up yesterday and I was looking forward to filling the gaps, but McLaren is too cute to move, bless his heart.

Supper time went and passed – both kitties fed and enjoying their evening mad half hour.  I got into bed and then received the exciting news.  It was so exciting that one of the kitties did a great stinky, steaming poo, so I got up to empty the litter.  I turned my back for two minutes to scoop and look who managed to get into the cupboard with the food!  Old tricks die hard, I guess.  Even putting them on the second shelf in the cupboard can’t stop them if they really want it.

After Laser jumped down again, McLaren followed suit, but fortunately (or unfortunately?) he quickly realised once he was up there, he didn’t know how to get down so he meowed for a rescue.

Just another exciting day as the slave to my two little furbabies, huh?

If our kitties aren’t getting what they consider to be “enough” of our time, they have their ways – like sitting in the middle of the newspaper when we’re reading or taking up our lap when we’re doing something else requiring a lap. Well, we might grumble but who can complain about a sweet, loving, lump of kitty??? Not me!

You have two adorable babies. I had to chuckle over McLaren not letting you do your cross stitching. They can do that and we let them. As it should be.

Have a purrfect day and weekend. My best to your mom. ♥

He quite often comes and sits under the hoop, so I can still continue, but last night he sat on top, so I couldn’t lift the material to put it above him and continue. He definitely wanted fussing to sleep, bless him.

Laser and Cosy Bear both look so cute together. McLaren you were telling mom that’s enough cross stitching it’s time for my nap. These two are always great to see what they are always getting into. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful upcoming weekend. Hope you can catch up on some sleep.

That is sweet that Laser has fallen in love with Cosy Bear. Whenever I was trying to do something, Flynn would always sit down in the middle of it.
