The Car is Furry!

Don’t worry, that’s not a typo!  The cats are furry, that’s true, but this morning as I headed into work I discovered that the CAR was as well.

OK, OK.  It’s not real fur, but it looks like it.  The snow had done an impressive job of replicating Laser and McLaren’s floof and turned my little Kia into a furry car!

Isn’t nature wonderful?

It’s been bitterly cold now for a while and snowed most of yesterday morning, so it was no surprise to wake up to the ice on the car.  There hasn’t been a cloud in sight lately either, so it’s been below freezing for a while.

Luckily, you can get some fantastic views in the chilly sunshine of Scotland.  This is a panoramic view from one of the Ochills near Alva Glen.

Thankfully the kitties are just watching the weather through the window and keeping warm.  Imagine how cold their little paws would be walking around outside.

I’m thinking that you’ve got an excellent example of hoar frost! I found this on the internet: “Hoar frost is composed of tiny ice crystals and is formed by the same process as dew, but when the temperature of the surface is below freezing point. The ‘feathery’ variety of hoar frost forms when the surface temperature reaches freezing point before dew begins to form on it.” Feathery, furry…all the same!
