Throw Back Thursday 25/04/19

I feel like I’ve been failing on the blogging side lately. My head hasn’t really been in the right space for a few weeks and I’m pondering whether or not to stick to social media rather than blogging.  I do enjoy writing blogs though, so I’m not sure.  Just feels like there is more pressure with blogging than quick daily SM posts.

Anywho, it’s Thursday so here’s a look back in time.

Floofs!  This time last year the Gaurdian floofs arrived at the cat cafe.  Look how small they were!

Back in 2017 I installed a cat flap on the lounge door so I didn’t have to have it open all the time for Laser.  She thought I’d gone mad!

What were you up to this time in the past?

Don’t forget to keep up with Carry, Laser & McLaren’s antics on our social media accounts:

Blogging is a lot more work – I do a “daily” as you know and really it’s a lot of work but it’s also FUN. That’s what I said when I started blogging – “this needs to be fun and when it no longer is, I’ll stop”. That hasn’t happened yet. I’m not “into” social media that much but I think a lot of younger folks are. My unsolicited advice: Follow your heart. It will take you to the best place for YOU.

    Hugs, Pam

Yea. I think one of my main problems is that I feel guilty that I often don’t get around to reading other peoples blogs and commenting. And they’re here (like you!) on my blog commenting every post. Where as with SM I can see, like and comment much quicker as posts are generally shorter or purely image based.

I’m currently aiming for a post a week at least but that still isn’t solving the keeping up with everyone elses blogs!

I agree with Onespoliedcat…do what you want to do. This week is may be not too much, next week you may have a lot to say! The pressure to comment IS great, I know. I take a break from that once in awhile, or if behind, I read all of the missed posts and catch up. Today, 4/25, would be my father’s 92nd birthday; he’s been gone for 15 years now. Every once in a great while, he shows up in my dreams. He could have lived longer, but even 15 years ago, they didn’t know as much as now. And we cannot live in the past, right? Take care, and hug McLaren and Laser for me!

That’s true.I’ll keep plodding along and see how it goes. 🙂 Maybe I should set a time of the day aside for reading blogs rther than just hoping i find the time in everything else to do it.

I definitely agree! As you know, I post daily on SM and once or twice a week on the blog (lately just once). I find the interaction quicker on SM like you do. But I definitely want to keep my blog active because I feel that SM reaches a certain set of people and the blog reaches another set. But ultimately, you need to do what keeps you motivated!
